PEREZ appears for the first time in the book of GENESIS and subsequently, in these other books of the bible: NUMBERS, RUTH, NEHEMIAH and 1 CHRONICLES.

Pérez.. ¿Origen Judio?

El apellido Peretz (o Pérez) es un nombre hebreo, que corresponde a uno de los hijos de Yehudá el hijo del patriarca Iaacov.

Apellidos Sefarditas

Entre los apellidos de judíos españoles es fácil reconocer oficios, designados en árabe o en hebreo, como Amzalag, joyero; Saban, jabonero; Nagar, carpintero; Haddad, herrero; Hakim, médico; profesiones relacionadas con la sinagoga como Hazan, cantor; Melamed, maestro; Dayan, juez; y títulos honorables como Navon, sabio; Moreno, maestro nuestro y Gabay, oficial.

Es popular el apellido Peres, muchas veces escrito Pérez, con la terminación idiomática española. Pero no es apellido de origen español sino la palabra hebrea que designan los capítulos en que la Torah (los cinco libros de Moisés), se divide para su lectura semanal, a efectos de completar en todo el año la lectura de la Torá.

Muchos apellidos españoles adquirieron pronunciación azkenazi en Polonia, como ejemplo Castelanksi, Luski (que viene de Huesca, en España). O tomaron como apellido Spanier (español), Fremder (extraño), o Auslander (extranjero). En Italia la inquisición se instauró después que en España, de ahí que hubo también judíos italianos que emigraron a Polonia. Aparece el apellido Italiener y Welsch o Bloch, porque Italia es llamada Wloche en alemán.

APELLIDO PEREZ, historia y heráldica:

Pérez es un apellido patronímico, derivado del nombre Pero o Petrus, extendidísimo por toda España. Este apellido tiene tantas ramas que, por lo general, no tienen la mas mínima relación entre si. El apellido Pérez ya existía en la Edad Media.

Origen del apellido Pérez, origen mitológico:

Lo que ya no es tanto es de donde viene, cual es su origen. La primera mención que se encuentra de Pero se basa nada menos que en la Mitología y es nombre de mujer, al tratarse de la hija de Meleo y Cloris. Fue muy famosa por su gran belleza. Realizó su matrimonio con Bianco para lo que este tuvo que aportar como dote los inmensos rebaños de Filaco que consiguió gracias a los conocimientos médicos de su hermano Melampo, que puso como precio de sus servicios los citados rebaños. Pero con toda su belleza, parece ser que llegó a cansar al marido y este la abandono en su pretensión de casarse con una hija de Preto.

Origen del apellido Pérez, más real:

Quizás exista un antecedente entre el nombre de Petrus, y su derivación en Pere o más tarde, Pérez. Se trata de Petrus de Compostela, un clérigo documcntado en Santiago de Compostela a mediados del siglo XII, al que se cita también como Petrus Alvitez, Petrus Hica, autor de varios himnos litúrgicos que se conservan en el Escorial. ¿Pudo llamarse, en realidad, Pere y al ignorar su apellido se le añadió el nomhre del lugar de su nacimiento? ¿Fue este uno de los Pere que degeneró en Pérez?.

Lo cierto es que este apellido, Pérez, se extendió rápidamente por toda la Península, teniendo sus mayores asentamientos en Asturias, Castilla y Andalucía, estableciéndose también en el continente americano donde se le encuentra desde los primeros tiempos de su descubrimiento y conquista.

El apellido Pérez se encuentra entre las huestes de Hernán Cortés, con Pedro de Valdivia con Hernando de Soto, con Francisco Pizarro, etc. Lo que ocurre es que debido a la abundancia de este apellido Pérez, se generalizó la costumbre de añadirle el lugar de nacimiento, o la plaza conquistada y así tenemos, entre otros los del apellido Pérez de Tudela, los Pérez de Villamayor, Pérez de Soria, Pérez de Ariza, Pérez de la Calzada, Pérez de Zamora y otros muchos que harían muy extensa la lista.

Se trata de un linaje que probó repetidas veces la limpieza de su sangre ante las Ordenes Militares Españolas en las que sus miembros deseaban ingresar. Durante siglos, los del apellido Pérez estuvieron presentes en todas las instituciones nobiliarias españolas, unas veces en solicitud de probanza de su limpieza de sangre y otras litigando diversas familias del apellido en defensa cada una de aquellos que entendían sus derechos sobre la otra y así las Reales Chancillerías de Valladolid y Granada, sobre todo, se encuentran llenas de pleitos en los que interviene el apellido Pérez.

Pero no se vaya a creer por lo común, que el apellido Pérez resulta carente de hidalguía, porque ocurre precisamente todo lo contrario. Si se repasan los Archivos de cientos de Municipios españoles se encontrarían empadronados en ellos a docenas de Pérez con demostración absoluta y sin lugar a dudas de su derecho a ser considerados miembros de familias hidalgas por los cuatro costados.

Al lado izquierdo algo se aprecia en la esquina del costado norte la casa de las arias, la casa de Don Domingo Orejarena y más abajo la casa de los Oviedo. (Hoy en día esto esta muy cambiado).

En la parte de encima se encuentra tia Beatriz, en la parte de abajo Tio Alfredo y Tia Adela y en el lado derecho mi tio Gerardo.
